I have travelled miles, far from home

To cultures diverse and languages unknown

Flying unfamiliar skies, washing up on unexplored shores

Opening windows to new horizons, knocking on strange doors

When distances merge and the journey is really through time

Where I can only call myself as mine

Brewing up new experiences in an emptied tea pot

My body and soul is all I’ve got

Knowing well that I can never return as the same

That all that remains unchanged about me is my name

With every destination the fear is renewed

And a new goal with a fresh hope is pursued

Everywhere I go I follow my destiny

At that time I know this is exactly where I ought to be

Although I grapple with the exciting fantastical routine

A part of me craves to return to the familiar where I’ve already been

And if I did someday hear my heart and mind over my head

I know I’d be soon in the comfort of my home, in the warmth of my bed

But I have come too far from who I used to be

This gap is unfathomable between myself and me
