How can families who lost their roots be re tilled
Can one man’s death avenge it all…
Can we, as a nation, once again hold our head high and
walk tall…
Justice has taken so long to merely unfold
Yet it seems to be hiding many truths untold
For most of us it was a nightmare that has passed
But for some it was reality that will always last
The evanescent moment of judgement may be an ephemeral
relief
But its victory too cannot conquer a caustic belief
The one that dwells in the minds of those who committed the
crime
And in those who fouled an innocent time
Can life ever be the same for those left behind?
Can this judgement quench the thirst of a troubled mind?
Perhaps it can’t because the grief exceeds the succour
received
And the truth of the matter still leaves those aggrieved,
deceived.
Dedicated to those who have waited so long for a glimmer
of justice – hope this will provide some respite to us as a nation and some
threat to those who have destruction on their minds.
