Let’s wipe the
smirk off our face
And spare a
thought for those who live in disgrace
Are we so blind
that we can't see the pain in their eyes?
Or are we too
selfish and uncaring to realize?
When a beggar
knocks at our door..
Is it so hard
for us to spare a buck or two even though we have much more...
When an old
person is waiting to cross the street
Are we in such a
hurry that we zoom past not letting him accomplish his feat
How can we turn
a deaf ear to any being in pain?
How can we let
our pride turn vain?
Where has the
honesty in humility gone?
Where is all
this hostility and conceit from?
Let’s open our
hearts to those in need all around…
Let’s keep our
thinking high and our egos ground
And watch the
wheels of time turn favourable
As we leave the
world with experiences that are indeed memorable
